“As art emerges from the work of community building, it becomes more than performance. It becomes a means for personal and collective progress, a bridge between generations and nations, and a way for people to see themselves as part of something much larger.” Inspired by the words of Jorge Villarruel, Yuyay Project, Ecuador

About the Design of the goodpeoples Skull Icon

The goodpeoples cactus flower and skull is a reminder that we are one people, sharing the same beginning and the same end. Beneath our flesh lies the same frame carrying our minds and personalities through time — bones made of the same proteins and minerals, regardless of who you are or where you're from.

Like the desert cactus, we are given the opportunity each day to be resilient — to walk in beauty, growth, and transformation, even through the harshest conditions. How we live, how we love, and what we choose to do with our time will determine whether we become good ancestors. The emblem calls us to have a long view, and to live for the generations that follow.
